Written and Directed by Brisbane Playwrite, Shaun Charles "The Bird's of Tennant Creek" was a collaboration between The Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), Beyond Empathy, Barkly Arts and the young people of Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. The performance blended contemporary hip hop music and dance with drama and puppetry. Jenny Ellis co-ordinated the making of shadow puppets, small emu handpuppets and a giant snake with the children of Tennant Creek Primary School.
